This is the CAGwiki Manual of Style. The purpose is to establish a consistent format across the entire CAGwiki.

The Wikipedia Manual of Style is used as our model, so if you are unsure and your concern is not addressed here that is a good reference to use.

Article titles

The title should appear as early as possible in the article, ideally as the subject of the first sentence. Bold the first instance of the title by placing it within three single quotes. For example, '''Platinum Hits''' produces Platinum Hits. Capitalize the first word of the title and any proper nouns. All other words should be in lower case. Examples of proper titles would be "List of Xbox games" or "Haggling for the best deal".

Headings

Use two equal signs (==) to create a section header. Three equal signs creates a sub-section header. Capitalize the first word and any proper nouns in the header, all other words should be lowercase. For example, == External links == would produce a section header titled "External links".

Links

Links to other CAGwiki articles, pages on the main www.cheapassgamer.com site, and external pages may be placed at the end of an article. They should be placed in one of three standard sections and listed using the asterisk (*). The sections are:

  • See also: for links to other pages in the CAGwiki.
  • CAG links: for links to pages and forum threads, etc. on the main www.cheapassgamer.com site.
  • External links: for links to all other external pages.
