David Abrams (known on the Internet as "CheapyD") is best known for running the successful video game deals website Cheap Ass Gamer. Since the site's creation in April of 2003, Abrams has (along with buddy Defender and many more hard-working members) handled everything about CAG: the managing, the front page deals, the finances, etc.

Abrams was inspired to create Cheap Ass Gamer from Ben's Bargains, another popular deals website.

From The Escapist's interview with Abrams:[1]

"One of my friends used to keep emailing me deals that he found there and I got hooked." David, known as "CheapyD" to his fellow Cheap Ass Gamer ilk ("CAGs"), started Cheap Ass Gamer in May 2003 as a side project to his normal nine-to-five job. "The problem was, there wasn't enough videogame deals to satisfy me. And when there were videogame deals, they just got lumped in with everything else."

While much is still unknown about Abrams due to a quiet nature, he is currently married and resides in Tokyo, Japan. After his move from New York City to Japan in October 2005, he started a section in the forums called Your Man in Japan where he reports on Japanese oddities and wackiness compared to our American culture. Some of his Japanese gaming scoops have even made it to popular websites such at Joystiq. His mother (CheapyMom) and father (CheapyDad) can be seen posting in the forums from time to time.

While he's not saving gamers across the world from bad deals, Abrams enjoys working on his CAGcasts with fellow CAG member Wombat and playing Xbox Live with his homies.
