The Off-topic Topic, or "OTT", is a unique thread located in Cheap Ass Gamer's CAG Lifestyle & Off Topic section. It is unique in the fact that the thread has no one particular topic for members to post about. This is because the thread is specifically run somewhat like a chat room, where users can post virtually anything (within the boundaries of the rules) no matter how odd or personal. The Off-topic topic generally hosts revisiting members, as most people apparently prefer not to take part in such a disorganized topic. These recurring members are known on the forums as OTTers.

- Off-topic topics have been around CAG since late 2003.
- Originally, Off-topic topics had an infinite post limit, meaning that users could continue to post in that one thread until it had thousands of accumulated posts. Because of the stress put on the server and the lopsided post distributions in relations to other threads, CAG technical advisor Defender advised to close OTT's after 500 posts and create a new thread.
- Many OTTers who are early enough to a new OTT like to type in "first" to show they were the first to post in the thread.
- An OTT is almost always around, only unavailable when one OTT is closed and members wait for a new one.
